NEW! Technology Engineer/Manager Desirable Southern Coastal City

The Technology engineer/manager (depending on experience) needs to have a background in industrial manufacturing and be able to adapt to a fast-paced 24/7/365 industrial environment. This engineer will be supporting Cisco networks consisting of 100+ switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.


Responsibilities

Responsible for working within a team of engineers supporting the maintenance, expansion and improvements of network and components.


Provide support for a mid-size deployment of VMware vSphere ESXi 5.5 & 6.0 using technologies like vCenter appliances, distributed switches, High Availability, VMware Horizon View, and more is required.


Provide support for, secure, and improve the Active Directory domain and existing deployment of over 300 servers and workstations.


Other opportunities to work on new deployments and projects within GPA as needed and primary client demands allow

Required Skills & Qualifications
CCNA or equivalent relevant experience working with Cisco devices.


VCP-DCV or equivalent relevant experience working with VMware technologies


Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and common technologies found in domain deployments


Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware problems


Understanding of iSCSI, Fiber Channel, and other SAN technologies


Ability to execute a backup strategy and test restore procedures


Basic database administration skills (Microsoft SQL)


Experience with an array or desktop and server operating systems (2000, 2003, 2012, 2016, XP, 7, 10)


Test and deploy Microsoft security patches in a non-disruptive manner

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience scripting in PowerShell, VBScript, or other languages
  • Experience working in an industrial or other 24/7 environment
  • Knowledge of OSI PI or other manufacturing historian and trending packages
  • Working experience with ABB, Rockwell, Valmet, Siemens, or other DCS vendors, including software installation and configuration
  • Understanding of the Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture
  • Experience with Aruba wireless hardware
  • Dell Wyse Zero Clients or HP ThinOS

Process Control Engineer, Baton Rouge, LA

Requires Engineering degree & minimum 5 years of experience in process control strategy & implementation, tuning & troubleshooting Regulatory or Advanced Process Control applications related to refining or chemicals. Must have hands-on experience maintaining & supporting process control in plants. Knowledge of DMC+ or similar MVC application product is a plus. Prefer experience with Honeywell DCS consoles. Requires ability to effectively interact with a variety of plant work groups, including operators in a control room environment. Will be assigned to a process unit team as the individual responsible for process control. Must have legal right to work indefinitely in the United States. Control Systems Project Manager / Delta V Subject Matter Expert Houston, TX

 Requires Ch E, EE or other related technical degree & minimum 15 years of experience as Control Systems Engineer supporting projects related to chemical, refining or industrial manufacturing plants that use DCS control. Must have minimum 2 years of experience managing mega projects. Requires in depth experience with Emerson Delta V DCS, to act as the Subject Matter Expert for the chemical organization. Will provide technical support to each project team during FEL, engineering & construction activities on process control systems questions. Will provide oversight & assurance on process control system requirements, designs & installations for all projects. Will approve any deviations from standards & specifications. Will support project & engineering teams to enhance process control knowledge, as it relates to interfaces to other equipment, services & hardware/software. Will develop key documents such as software & hardware FAT requirements, installation procedures, technology selection, spare parts philosophy & design requirements. Will confirm critical software & hardware applications are engineered & installed in accordance to project specifications & industry standards. Will ensure all approvals, loop folder template, loop check procedures & system checks are completed before unit start-up. Will audit each project for compliance to specifications & when needed assist each project to develop a plan to achieve compliance. Will review & get approval from site for final network design meeting latest cybersecurity requirements. Will assist in hiring new control systems personnel. Will identify training needs.
